Eagle Manor is nestled on the banks of the mighty Cohansey River which runs from the Delaware Bay to Bridgeton, NJ with about 30 miles of kayak and canoe navigable waters in between with many small tributaries for exploring along the way. The river maintains a width of roughly 500 feet most of the way to Bridgeton. The Cohansey River watershed is sparsely populated and largely unspoiled. This makes it an ideal location for observing wildlife in its natural habitat. Bald eagles, ospreys, all kinds of hawks, river otters, and many other creatures can be observed along the river.

The waterside Manor house is just a 15 minute boat ride from the Delaware Bay if you want more open spaces. No need for portage. You can keep your kayaks or canoes at our river boat house and put in using our private boat ramp.

This is an aerial shot of the Cohansey River near Eagle Manor. It winds through miles a mix of unspoiled wilderness and farmland. This makes it ideal for long kayak/canoe rides. Furthermore there’s practically zero boat traffic on the river which plenty of piece and quiet and no boat wakes.

Eagle Manor is large enough to accommodate the largest groups, so bring your entire kayak/canoe group. The Manor house sleeps 20 so there’s plenty of room. Spend the day on the water then come back and relax by the campfire at the river deck, with billiards in the game house, or in the sun room at the Manor house.
